In the Rite of Baptism, parents/guardians and godparents accept the responsibility to teach their children the practices of the Catholic faith. The Religious Education program assists parents in the following ways:
- Teaching children and youth to worship God in Spirit and Truth, especially through the celebration of the sacraments with a special devotion to the Holy Eucharist.
- Announcing the Good News of the Love of Jesus Christ to all people and inviting children and youth to carry on this mission with the help of the Holy Spirit.
- Teaching compassion towards others by carrying out generous acts of charity and promoting peace and justice in their community.
